Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) seeks to be the eyes and ears in the community, while local churches are the hands and feet. The local church is God’s answer to community brokenness and a part of His plan of redemption and restoration. That’s why we mobilize local churches to offer a holistic approach to caring for people in all areas of life: spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, material, and physical. Together, we are the body of Christ serving our community with love.
Founded in Denver in 1986, New Genesis is the only Denver area homeless program for working people. Designed out of a need to more successfully improve the lives of the homeless, New Genesis provides a stable environment, helping people get off the streets and back into society. New Genesis emphasizes a proactive resident care management program and outlines specific behavioral objectives for residents, including the ability to live a more productive and independent life, maintain a job and help improve the lives of other residents. Residents are required to be substance free and hold a full time job.
New Genesis works to provide more than emergency services to the homeless; each year, we assist over 1,500 people off the streets and back into a fully productive lifestyle.
Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) began in 1964 when south metro Denver resident Maida Navis noticed that some of her neighbors needed extra help. Working families were not making ends meet, neighborhood children went without necessities, and elderly residents were losing their independence.
Mrs. Navis gathered neighborhood leaders for a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” effort, forming the original Inter-Faith Task Force for Community Services. The task force provided services designed to help struggling neighbors achieve independent living – some for the first time.
Those early leaders were determined to provide assistance that would always be a hand up rather than a handout. In 1968, IFCS was designated an “official poverty agency” of south metro Denver.
Cross Cultural Covenant Community is committed to creating a strong connection between believers of different cultural backgrounds. We accomplish this through joint worship services, fellowship opportunities and education opportunities. We provide college scholarships and liaisons for students that would otherwise face financial challenges in furthering their education. We host ESL and citizenship classes throughout the year. And we offer medical services, children’s programs, and other opportunities for fellowship, learning, and self-development.
